18th-early 19th century. Shaped wood stock with two-piece compound trigger and release (fully operable). Rectangular iron front sight and bone post rear sight. Composite bow of wood, backed with sinew, the terminals with green hide string beds. Construction exactly as found on the large cavalry bows. Tan hide seats sealing the bow to the stock. Original double string with medial pellet or stone cup with rear projections to engage the trigger mechanism. 25" length. Excellent for the period.
